ALBUM: Back From Being Gone

LABEL: 10T Records

RELEASED: October, 2011

Back From Being Gone is the critically acclaimed debut album from The ANABSIS.  It features some of the progressive rock community's most recognized artists including Ryo Okumoto of Spock's Beard and Brick Williams of Hourglass just to name a couple.  Mixed and mastered at Thin Ice Studios in the UK by Lee Abraham with assistance on drum mixing from Karl Groom (Threshold).  Back From Being Gone is a concept album that examines the lives and struggles of 3 ancient civilizations (The Romans, The Egyptians and The Vikings) and contrasts and compares those ancient struggles with those of modern mankind.  Exposing the truth that while our technology and infrastructure have vastly improved in the last several hundred years, the way we treat each other has not improved at all.

The album was written by Barry Thompson (music) and George Andrade (lyrics) with some strong compositional and arrangement help from Ryo Okumoto who laid down some of the most hauntingly beautiful acoustic piano - especially in the opening track, "Rome." but we also benefitted from some excellent guitar soloing by Christopher James Harrison, Josh Sager, Brick Williams and none other than the superstar guitarist Plini from Australia. This album was recorded long before anyone knew who Plini was.  Today he fills arenas with fans when he tours.

Please consider a donation to our cause and we will happily hand over a fine digital copy of our debut album along with the 16-page full-color lyrics booklet in PDF format.
